AN art and culture exchange was conducted as one of the parallel workshops in the recently concluded first Global Summit of Filipinos in the Diaspora held in September 27 to 29 at the Philippine International Convention Center. The exchange was held necessary to present and update the Philippine directory of arts and culture (which consists of overseas and Philippine-based individuals and organizations, government agencies and diplomatic posts, culture and community centers and other institutions); to forge cross-border partnerships between and among individuals or groups that focus on the development of culture and arts; and to promote awareness and understanding of it.
